Care of Goods

We at Charlotte's Web really hope you enjoy all our lovely handmade goods....Here are a few handy hints to help you keep them in their best condition!

Clothes

Each new season at Charlotte's Web we aim to bring you unusual, vibrant, distinct colours & prints...which gives Charlotte's Web clothing its unique & individual style.
Most of Charlotte's Web clothes are made from printed indian cottons or 100% pure silk recycled saris, we also have some chiffons, rayons and satins. To keep your clothes in the best possible condition & to avoid colour transfer or fading we recommend that you wash our clothes separately in a cool handwash using a gentle detergent & leave to dry unless we have otherwise stated in an item's product detail.  It is not recommended to spot clean stains.

Cottons and Rayons can be washed in a gentle washing machine cycle, separately at a cool temperature - however we recommend hand washing as this keeps the colours looking brighter for longer.

Jewellery

All Charlotte's Web jewellery is handmade with sterling silver & the highest quality gemstones, being natural products they must be cared for in the following ways.

  • Silver tarnishes in air, particularly in hot & humid weather. Polish with a silver polishing cloth & for tricky to polish or heavier discolouration use a silver dip.
  • Try to avoid contact with cleaning products, chlorinated or salt water.
  • Protect your jewellery from scratching & tangling by storing each piece separately in a soft jewellery roll.

Please note: All Charlotte's Web earrings have sterling silver backs/posts therefore contain no nickel and are allergy free.

Leather

Charlotte's Web's leathers are chosen for their unusual & interesting appeal to produce high quality & different pieces....
Slight marks & variations in the surface colour & texture are all inherent characteristics & should not be mistaken as a fault. They are part of the unique appeal of leather.
Try not to get leathers wet & it is a good idea to spray the leather with a protective spray.  Be careful not to overfill your bag as over time it can change the shape of the bag.....

Scarves

Charlotte's Web scarves come in lots of beautiful & vibrant colours....to keep them that way by avoiding colour transfer & fading we recommend that you handwash them separately in cool water, using a gentle detergent & leave to dry.
