I first travelled to India when I was 21, my first major travelling experience on my own and to Asia. I absolutely loved it – the colours, the vibrancy and the organised chaos. Parts of that first trip made me who I am today!
I went back to India a few years later and fell back in love with the country and felt inspired to start up my own company selling creative pieces with a chic, bohemian feel. I put together a small collection of jewellery and clothes, all handmade by local Indian artisans, which I sold at the London markets and to friends at house parties. They were an instant hit, word soon spread, and that’s how Charlotte’s Web was born.
Charlotte’s Web perfectly combines my love of fashion, travel and people. I absolutely love selling beautiful things and making people feel and look good. But I don’t take fashion too seriously so I aim to make my collections colourful, easy to wear, fun and totally unique. You just won't see anything on Charlotte's Web that you'd find on the high street, and each piece is lovingly crafted, with fresh and funky designs.
I now travel to India several times throughout the year and spend time designing and making the collections with local artists and craftsmen – working closely with small families and cottage industries. Every visit is different and I try to reflect this in my unique designs. I handpick the raw materials to ensure quality and oversee the production of each collection, wherever possible we also use recycled and vintage fabrics.
I pride myself in offering a passionate and personal service to all my customers and I love meeting people face to face, helping them put outfits together and seeing what suits them.
Charlotte’s Web offers an eclectic mix of beautiful fair trade items. Jewellery, Leather bags, Clothes, Scarves and Accessories…there really is something for everyone.
